Andrea Kirwin is a singer-songwriter from the Sunshine Coast, QLD. With Australian Fijian roots, Andrea weaves melodies and story telling lyrics together to create a rich tapestry much like the way her Fijian grandmother used to weave pandanus mats in the village.
Each song is crafted in a way that allows the listener to subtly enter into the space between words and really experience the story, whether it be a love story or about letting go. Her music crosses into various contemporary genres including hip hop, funk and soul, however it is her smooth laid-back vocal tones that make each song come alive.
Her voice has been likened to Norah Jones, Tracy Chapman, India Arie and Joan Armitrading. Andrea is truly an independent Australian Artist having self-produced 2 Albums under her own Record Label, Peace Run Records. Always willing to share her songs and stories, Andrea has performed all around the country in some of the smallest cafes and bars in country towns to big music festivals such as The Woodford Folk Festival, The Dreaming, Palm Creek Folk Festival and Womadelaide to name a few.
